    DSG Studio™

    Bring the real problem.
    Leave with the work.

The Studio is DSG’s human practice. It is where community knowledge, strategy, evidence, numbers, and institutional judgment get worked on together — with a real decision in view.

Scope and fee are confirmed in writing before any payment is requested. No engagement guarantees funding, an introduction, or a meeting.

01 · Who this is for

    Who this is for

For you if one project is ready to move toward money and you want a Capital Architect beside you.

02 · The problem it solves

    The root, not the symptom

Most projects do not stall on writing. They stall on sequence — which money fits which part of the need, and what a decision-maker must see before saying yes.

03 · What people try instead

What people try instead — and where it stalls

Free blog guides and fill-in templatesSome sell for a few dollars. They give you a format, but not your numbers.
General AI chat toolsThey draft fast, but they do not know your real costs or what a funder checks.
Paying a consultant by the hourBefore you know what you need, the meter runs while the question is still being found.

The Room puts that judgment beside your project while the work is being built.

    Three paths. Three different problems.

    I run community work

    Organization Studio

The work is real and long-standing. What capital reads is a thin version of it — undercosted, under-evidenced, and asking for the wrong kind of money.

    The work may include

    • Whether capital can find, verify, and understand you at all
    • What you are actually asking capital to understand
    • The true cost of the work, including the parts nobody funds
    • Which money belongs with which part of the need
    • What a decision-maker has to see before saying yes

What you can leave with — depending on the engagement

    • A Strategic Case for Support
    • An Executive Strategy Brief
    • A true-cost budget with indirect and cash-flow risk named
    • A capital sequence rather than a grant-only plan
    • A Diligence Vault and an evidence-gap list
    • One real opportunity moved forward
Scope and fee confirmed in writingSee the Organization Studio

    I make philanthropic decisions

Institutional Studio — foundations & family philanthropy

The same organizations keep rising to the top, the paperwork keeps growing, and the portfolio does not yet add up to a strategy.

    The work may include

    • How evidence is defined, and what your process is currently unable to credit
    • Where application burden is producing paperwork instead of better decisions
    • How community intelligence enters the record in a form a committee may use
    • Whether the portfolio expresses a thesis or a habit

What you can leave with — depending on the engagement

    • A strategy map and a funding decision rubric
    • An application burden audit
    • A community intelligence protocol
    • A diligence question bank and evidence interpretation guide
    • A learning agenda and a decision debrief format
Scope and fee confirmed in writingBring us a funding decision

I back ventures or move capital into community health

Institutional Studio — DAF holders, venture capital & small foundations

You are accountable for community investment, and the criteria, the partners, and the political conditions are not lining up into one defensible decision.

    The work may include

    • A community impact thesis your leadership can defend
    • Partner selection that reads substance rather than presentation quality
    • When a grant, a sponsorship, or a partnership is the right instrument
    • Political and cultural tension, named before it becomes a problem

What you can leave with — depending on the engagement

    • A community impact thesis and partner selection rubric
    • A listening protocol
    • A grant / sponsorship / partnership decision tree
    • An impact framework and internal decision brief
    • A twelve-month portfolio view
    • Optional: sponsored Studio seats or a cohort for your grantees

    What it costs

Two organization pathways. Institutional work is quoted.

    Guided Studio

You have the organization and the time to build alongside a Capital Architect.

You do the building in scheduled working sessions. DSG reads the work as it is written, corrects the logic, and holds the evidence standard.

    Executive Studio

You need the materials produced, not workshopped, and you need them defensible.

DSG carries more of the production. You bring the truth of the work and the decisions; the writing, the numbers, and the assembly are done with you rather than by you alone.

    Institutional Studio

DAF holders, venture capital, and family and small foundations.

Scope depends on the decision in front of you, the size of the portfolio, and who has to sign. DSG confirms scope and fee in writing before any payment is requested.

Studio engagements begin with a conversation. Scope and fee are confirmed in writing before any payment is requested. No engagement guarantees an award, an introduction, or a meeting.

    A six-week organization arc

A working sequence, not a lecture series.

    1. Week 1

Can capital find and understand you?

Website, legal standing, and digital trust — what a stranger with money sees before you speak.

    2. Week 2

What are you asking capital to understand?

Community truth, cultural methodology, the system condition, and the Strategic Case for Support.

    3. Week 3

What does the work really cost?

True cost, staffing, indirects, and cash-flow risk — including the parts nobody funds.

    4. Week 4

What money belongs with the need?

Capital sequencing across grant, corporate, public, earned, and community sources.

    5. Week 5

What does a decision-maker need to see?

Diligence Vault, evidence record, and an honest list of proof gaps.

    6. Week 6

      Move one real opportunity

An application, a relationship plan, an Executive Strategy Brief, or the next-step strategy.

The arc changes when the evidence changes. Six weeks is a working shape, not a promise that every engagement needs the same calendar.

    Conditional inventory

    The materials follow the problem.

Depending on the engagement, the build may include a Strategic Case for Support, Executive Strategy Brief, true-cost budget, capital sequence, dated opportunity path, a Diligence Vault (everything a funder would ask to verify, already organized), evidence-gap list, 90-day capital calendar, or one real opportunity moved forward. No engagement includes every item by default.

DSG does not promise an award, an introduction, a meeting, or a return on investment. We work on what a decision can responsibly carry.

    The Room Between the Rooms

Where the question can be asked before the application is on the table.

A moderated space where people on both sides of capital can ask the question they cannot ask when an application is on the table.

    • No solicitation.
    • No promise of funding.
    • No discussion of pending applicants.
    • Conceptual today — access is offered through engagements as it opens.
    Questions people ask
    Is this a course?

No. It is a working environment. You bring a real organization and a real decision, and you leave with the artifact rather than the notes.

    What does it cost?

The Guided Studio is $1,500 and the Executive Studio is $3,500. Institutional engagements are quoted after a scoping conversation. Scope and fee are confirmed in writing before any payment is requested.

    Do you guarantee funding?

No. We do not promise an award, an introduction, a meeting, or compliance. We work on the quality of the decision.

    Who owns what we build?

You do. Nothing is ghost-written over you, and the materials transfer to your organization.

    Can an institution sponsor seats?

Yes. A DAF holder, an investor, or a foundation can sponsor seats or a cohort for grantees. Sponsorship does not guarantee any grantee outcome.
